Lead with heart

I shared a meme on my personal page the other day about the future of jobs which spoke about jobs and the future of jobs being all about heart. But it's more than jobs, it's the future of humanity that needs to be about heart.

Leading with heart, listening to heart, speaking with heart. It's time for us all to be kinder and more compassionate to self and to others.

I am so tired, beyond tired even of nasty, toxic and out of control people who hurt others with no thought or compassion for what they are doing, or the ripple and flow on effects of their behaviour.

Yes it starts with me, it starts with you.

Consider what could happen if you

- chose to do work which felt good, over simply paying the bills

- listened to your heart when it came to self care, over doing what was expected of you

- sat beneath a tree and just listened to the sounds of silence

- walked bare foot on the earth just because you could

- nurtured your self with a day of reading, meditating, resting and just being

- said no and didn't feel guilty about saying it

- poured your soul onto the page and wrote about what mattered most to you

- turned off your phone and social media for a day, a week, a month

- were more selective about who you spent your time with

- felt empowered and confident enough to start living your best life

- claimed your true values and beliefs as the only way of being

The world would keep turning, life would keep moving, and those around you would keep running on the hamster wheel of life - but oh what a beautiful and free soul you'd be nurturing and creating. A happy and more balanced individual who felt better about themselves and life.

As I write these words, my computer freezes, a pause to enable my internet to catch up (gotta love wireless NBN) and I glance at my computer clock - 1111. So perhaps its the universe making me pause to allow the significance of my words to sink in.

I challenge you to choose one thing from the list and honour you today, to do what makes your heart sing and your soul dance. No one else knows what you need more than you.

Stop squeezing yourself into the little square box of life that society tells us we all need to fit into, stop saying yes to everyone and everything, stop making yourself sick by trying to be what everyone else wants you to be.

Lead with heart and be you - beautiful, brave, powerful you - because I see you gorgeous soul.
