Words exist like winged energy, transporting us to places high and wide. Words link each of us together as human beings. Words can paint pictures and move us to tears or to joy. Words can expand our consciousness until there are no words for the experience.

Day 11 - Riverton

The motel in Quorn that we stayed in last night was a nice surprise, its located behind the old mill and the rooms are actually large, clean and reasonably modern. Is anyone looking for a sea change (without the sea) because it’s for sale.

Tonight we’re in Riverton and as has been the case on our entire trip, when something doesn’t work out and we can’t find accommodation where we thought we wanted to stay, we’ve found something even more wonderful.

This is because I truly go with the belief that what we need will work out in the best way when we let it. To let it - we need to remove the need to control, and instead trust in our intuition and gut instincts. I’m getting so much better at learning to let go and trust...

Riverton is a delightful little town 40km south of Clare and we have a brand new two bedroom cabin in the caravan park, and for way less than we would have paid at the other places. This one also has amazing facilities for such a small caravan park and is in a smart location too, it’s next to the football oval and the town pool. The bottom two photos are our cabin and the last one is the camp kitchen.

We checked out heaps of small towns on the way here, luckily there’s lots of little towns which seem to be thriving through this section of the country, unlike some of the towns we went through on the Eyre Peninsula which have all died a sad death.

Pete and I have a love of big old limestone houses, the ones with the full wrap around verandahs, so driving around these towns and exploring is such fun. I’m convinced I’m meant to live in one of these big old stone houses and on land, then he could have the damn windmill and tractor which he has an obsession about (I keep telling him there’s no room in suburbia for them)

Tomorrow we’ll go exploring the local area, with a leisurely trip home on Saturday...sigh...

Anais Nin was known to have said “we do not see things as they are, we see them as we are. This means the power to change our lives lies firmly within us - so the question I leave you with tonight, is there something you could / should change to help you live the life you‘ve dreamt of?

Keep smiling, Fi 🌻
